This policy explains what personal data Kiozk™ collects when you buy, set up, or use a Kiozk™ Application, and when your own customers ("Buyers") interact with a storefront built on it.
If you've purchased your own Kiozk™ Deployment and are running it as your own business under your own brand (see Terms clause 5.7), you are the data controller for your own Buyers' information under most data protection laws — this policy describes how the underlying Application itself handles data, not your obligations to your own customers. You're responsible for having your own privacy notice for your Buyers if your jurisdiction requires one.| Who | What's collected | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Purchasers (account holders) | Email address, a hashed password (never the plaintext password itself), your name if you give it, and PayPal connection status (merchant ID, whether your account can receive payments) | To create and secure your account, and to confirm your PayPal connection before your storefront can go live |
| Storefront content | Whatever you describe about your business: name, offering description, price, and the copy generated from it | To generate and display your storefront and power your AI closer |
| Buyers (your customers) | Messages they type to your AI closer, sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply | To let the closer answer questions and negotiate within the limits you set |
| Completed sales | Buyer's country code, PayPal order/capture IDs, sale amount and currency | To record sales history and calculate the platform fee |
| Session data | A login token, stored in your own browser's local storage — not a cookie, and not accessible to us once issued | To keep you signed in between visits |
We do not collect a Buyer's name, email, or payment card details directly — PayPal handles that as part of checkout, under PayPal's own privacy policy.
When a Buyer sends a message to a storefront's closer, that message and a short recent history (the last few exchanges only) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the reply. We do not store the content of these conversations in our own database beyond the request needed to generate a response — there is no chat log table in our system. Anthropic processes this data under its own API data handling terms.
We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not use advertising trackers, ad pixels, or third-party analytics scripts on this site.
We don't set tracking or advertising cookies. The one piece of local data the Application stores in your browser is your login token, kept in local storage rather than a cookie, used only to keep you signed in. PayPal's own checkout scripts may set cookies under PayPal's control when you use their checkout flow; that's governed by PayPal's privacy policy, not ours.
Account and storefront data is kept for as long as your account is active. Sales records are kept as part of your own transaction history. If you close your account, contact us at the address above and we'll delete what we control; some records (like completed transaction history) may need to be retained longer where required by law.
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at support@kiozk.cloud to exercise any of these.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force on the date you use the Application is the one that applies. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
